You are right in Miami’s Haitian and Caribbean food belt: griot at Cecibon, grilled snapper at Bon Bagay, plus Pierre’s, Chef Creole, and Naomi’s Garden, all blocks away. Groceries too: Presidente, Walmart, Aldi, and Publix nearby.

Outside, Arcola Lakes Park has a playground, tennis courts, and a 13 acre fishing lake. Aventura Mall and the Sawgrass Mills outlets are a short drive, and Sunny Isles and Haulover beaches are about 15 minutes east.
